About Kary Kwok
 
Kary Kwok graduated with an MA degree in Photography from the Royal College of Art in London.
During his stay in Europe, his works had been exhibited in galleries in UK and Germany, and had received several awards;
Distinguished Award, Alternative Group, Hong Kong Independent Video Award. (2000),
Artist in Residence at The Taube Foundation, Salzburg, Austria. (2000),
2nd Prize Styling Competition “Tomorrow Image” IT Ltd., (1999) 
2nd Prize in the South Bank Photo Show “Make Believe”, London, UK. (1996),
Works selected by The Body Shop for the 1994 Calendar, London, UK. (1995),

Upon his return to Hong Kong in 1997, Kary explored his multi-talents in the creative industry as the Fashion Editor at Amoeba Magazine. 
Visual Presentation for Durban Men`s wear, Wrangler Jeans, Lee Jeans; Stylist for Print & TV commercials: Sony disc man, Lux shower gel, Siemens mobile, Carlsberg, Chase Manhattan, Calvin Klein, HSBC, Pizza Huts, Motorola, Vita Green Tea. 
Costume Design & Production for Theatres: “The Happy Prince”, Edward Lam Dance Theatre,
Hong Kong Arts Festival; “A Lover`s Discourse”, Zuni Iconsahedron,
Hong Kong Arts Festival; “Who`s calling Eileen Chang”, Legends of China Festival.
 
But his passion for photography brought him back to his calling. In 1999, Kary`s first book, 109 Women 69 Men and 10 in between, was published. Five years on, he had been working in fashion photography with designers from Europe, Hong Kong & China; Tenny Cheung, Spy, Loui Connice, Amandaling, Duban Men`s Wear, Pearls & Cashmere , Giovanni Valentino, Iskai.  
 
Kary is currently a Part-time Lecturer for Multimedia communication & Creative Process at the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology. Guest lecturer for Fashion image at Hong Kong Polytechnic University (school of design), Art and Cultures at Hong KONG Institute of Vocational Education (fashion Dept).
